What is our suit called?
It is currently called the ArchaeoSuit, inspired by archaeologists and how many amazing pieces of history they uncover.
Archaeology is something everyone should care about, whether you know a lot about it or even have no idea what it is. It's important to uncover, or even unearth the past to enhance the future.
We use and are frequently inspired by the FLL core values. We incorporate creativity and eagerness to contribute in every team meeting we attend. Most importantly, we enjoy our time together, having fun every team practice.
We began with a simple idea: to increase the safety of archaeologists in hazardous work sites. Then, we developed our idea of a suit, by researching the protective gear that archaeologists wear, and realized that there is a need for things that will keep archaeologists safe. We discussed the idea together, and came up with the idea of a suit.
We are planning on completing the simple missions first, like the "What's On Sale?" and "Who Lived Here?" missions first, followed by harder missions like "Careful Recovery". We are working on coding and preparing our robot to ensure it properly completes the missions.
The suit's material could be made from PVC and Lycra Elastene material. It has two layers in order to maximze efficiency.
Current solutions to hazardous site conditions in archaeology combine proactive risk assessment, advanced non-invasive technology, robust safety protocols, and ongoing environmental monitoring. The core philosophy is to prioritize human safety while also ensuring the long-term preservation of cultural heritage. YET, this is not the best option! the ArchaeoSuit provides an easier and much more effective way to solve this problem!
We actually have two! The first is to make it to the FLL finals in Houston, Texas. Our team has been working really hard, so we would love this opportunity. the second is to stick together no matter what, and have the best time possible! At the end of the day, we should always be having a good time!
